TERMS-OF-SERVICE-2026-V1

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 23, 2026

1. Introduction (Scope)

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the Shopify app "Shunji ni Hasso! for ClickPost" (the "App"), developed and provided by JizaiDev ("we", "us").

By installing or beginning to use the App, you (the Shopify store operator) are deemed to have agreed to everything set out in these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not install the App and stop using it immediately.

2. What the Service Provides

The App is a support tool that uses your Shopify order data to automate and streamline shipping work carried out through ClickPost, a service of Japan Post — producing labels and registering tracking numbers. Its main functions are as follows.

  • CSV export — Generates a CSV file from your Shopify orders in the format ClickPost requires for bulk registration. The file uses Shift_JIS encoding and CRLF line endings, and follows the eight-column layout defined by Japan Post.
  • Address formatting — Splits the address into the four lines ClickPost expects and trims each line to the permitted length. Where a prefecture is stored in Latin script, it is converted to its Japanese form.
  • Tracking-number extraction from PDFs — Reads tracking numbers, postal codes and order numbers from the shipping-label PDFs issued by ClickPost and matches them against the corresponding orders. Extraction works by parsing the text embedded in the PDF. No optical character recognition of images is performed.
  • Tracking registration and fulfillment — For each matched order, updates the Shopify status to fulfilled and registers the tracking number. The carrier is fixed to "Japan Post" and the tracking URL to Japan Post’s tracking page.
  • Shipment notification email — When the above registration runs, Shopify sends the buyer a shipment notification email containing the tracking number. This is always enabled; the App provides no setting to turn it off.

3. Limits and Operating Assumptions

The App depends on the specifications of both Japan Post and Shopify. You use it on the understanding of the following limits and assumptions.

  • Per-run limits — A CSV export covers at most 40 orders per run, matching ClickPost’s own bulk-registration limit. PDF uploads are limited to 2 files per run, 10 MB per file, and 80 shipping labels read in total. Tracking registration sends at most 20 entries per request; the screen splits larger batches automatically. There is no monthly cap on how many orders you process.
  • PDFs that cannot be read — Tracking-number extraction parses the text inside the PDF. A PDF produced by scanning a printed sheet, or exported as an image, carries no text layer and yields no results at all. Extraction also assumes ClickPost’s standard layout of four labels arranged 2×2 on an A4 page.
  • Dependence on external specifications — If Japan Post changes the CSV format, the number of columns or the per-submission limit, or changes the layout of the shipping-label PDF, the affected function may stop working correctly until we adapt the App. Changes to Shopify’s Admin API can have the same effect.
  • Character conversion — Because the CSV is written in Shift_JIS, emoji and certain symbols that the encoding cannot represent are substituted. Where an address exceeds the per-line limit, the excess is truncated. You are responsible for checking the contents of the exported CSV.

4. Authentication and Security Responsibilities

The App connects to your Shopify store securely through Shopify’s official OAuth flow. We never hold your Shopify login password.

You are responsible for rigorously managing the security of your own Shopify account, devices and network. We accept no liability for loss or data exposure arising from shortcomings in your own management, malware on your devices, or unauthorised use of your account by a third party.

5. Fees, Payment and Plan Changes

The App is a paid app. There is no plan that remains free indefinitely. Without an active subscription, none of the functions — including CSV export and tracking registration — are available.

All billing is handled solely through Shopify’s billing system (Managed Pricing). Subscribing, changing plans and cancelling all happen within the Shopify admin, and we never receive payment details such as your credit card number.

We reserve the right to change our pricing or billing structure as the legal and market environment evolves or as features are added. Where we change a price, we will notify you at least 30 days before it takes effect, through Shopify’s notification system. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel your subscription from the Shopify admin.

We may also provide the App free of charge to specific stores, for example for verification or a pilot deployment. These Terms apply in that case as well.

6. Your Obligations and Prohibited Conduct

In using the App, you agree to the following.

  • You hold legitimate administrator rights over the Shopify store on which the App is installed.
  • When using data the App extracts or generates (CSV files, tracking numbers and so on), you comply with Japan Post’s terms of service, applicable shipping law, and Shopify’s platform terms.
  • You will not use the App for fraudulent purposes (such as deliberately registering tracking numbers that do not exist), for unauthorised access, or in ways that place an excessive load on our infrastructure.
  • Duty of final verification — Extracting tracking numbers from PDFs is an automated process. Depending on the label’s layout and contents, a tracking number may fail to be read, or may be matched to the wrong order. In particular, where the order number cannot be read and matching falls back to the postal code alone, there is room to confuse two different orders sharing that postal code. Before running the registration, you are responsible for checking with your own eyes that each tracking number is matched to the correct order.

7. Intellectual Property and Rights over Data

The source code of the App, the PDF parsing and order-matching logic, the CSV formatting algorithms, the UI design and all related intellectual property rights belong to us. You are strictly prohibited from producing a clone of the App, reverse engineering it or decompiling it.

Conversely, all rights in the business data the App outputs — the CSV files it generates, the tracking numbers it registers and so on — belong to you, and you are free to use them in running your own e-commerce operation.

A generated CSV is stored temporarily on our server so that it can be downloaded. The download is single-use and the file is deleted once retrieved. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Disclaimer (Limitation of Liability)

The App is provided "as is"

The App is provided as is. We do not promise that it is free of every bug, nor do we guarantee 100% uptime.

We do not warrant that extracting tracking numbers from PDFs and matching them to orders will never miss a label or produce an incorrect match. The duty of visual verification set out in Article 6 is a precondition of use.

We accept no liability for any loss suffered by you or a third party — whether direct or indirect, including loss of anticipated profit — arising from the following (except where we have acted with intent or gross negligence).

  • Loss of operating profit caused by shipping delays or interrupted operations resulting from a bug in the App or a temporary outage.
  • Unexpected loss of or damage to your database (customer information, order contents).
  • Costs of handling complaints, or loss of trust, arising because a shipment notification containing an incorrect tracking number reached a buyer as a result of a missed reading or an incorrect match.
  • Delivery problems arising from truncation of an over-length address, or from substitution of characters that Shift_JIS cannot represent.
  • Loss arising because the integration failed to work due to an outage of Shopify itself, of the cloud provider hosting the service, or of ClickPost, or due to a change in their specifications.

Even where a legally enforceable obligation to compensate is established against us, that compensation is capped at the total amount you actually paid for use of the App in the 12 months preceding the date the loss arose. We accept no liability for loss arising during a period in which the App was provided to you free of charge.

9. Changes to the Service and Discontinuation

  • We may add to, change or deprecate the App’s UI, functions and specifications without prior notice.
  • If we discontinue the App itself for our own reasons, we will, in view of the impact, notify you at least 30 days before the service ends, through Shopify’s notification system or the App’s information pages at jizai.dev.

10. Governing Law and Exclusive Jurisdiction

These Terms and any legal question concerning use of the software are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising between us and you in connection with the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

For questions about how the App behaves, or about these Terms, please use the contact route below.
