Introduction
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the Shopify app "SellRules" (the "App") provided by JizaiDev ("we", "us").
By installing or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.
Description of the Service
The App is a tool for managing the sales lifecycle of products in a Shopify store across three phases (announcement, pre-order / made-to-order, and regular sale). Its main features are as follows.
- Automatic switching of selling phases based on a calendar schedule
- Acceptance of Waitlist (back-in-stock) email sign-ups and automatic notifications
- Display of pre-order and made-to-order buttons and order management
- Purchase limits (per-order and per-customer limits, VIP-only sales)
- Restriction of payment methods for pre-order and made-to-order orders
- Order progress tracking and delay detection with automatic notifications
- Customizable email templates and send-queue management
- Inventory-linked rules (automatic phase switching when out of stock)
Account and Authentication
The App connects to your store using Shopify's OAuth authentication. We never store your Shopify login password.
You are responsible for appropriately managing the security of your own Shopify account.
Pricing and Payment
The App is offered under the following pricing plan. All billing and charges are processed through the Shopify App Store billing system.
- No charges are incurred during the free trial period.
- After the trial ends, paid billing begins automatically.
- If there is a price change, we will notify users at least 30 days in advance.
User Obligations
When using the App, you agree to comply with the following.
- Use the App only on lawful Shopify stores for which you have administrative authority.
- Comply with the Shopify platform terms of service and applicable laws.
- Do not use the App for fraudulent purposes, spam, or to interfere with the system.
- Take responsibility for reviewing selling-phase schedules and purchase-limit settings before they take effect.
- Do not engage in actions that interfere with other merchants' or customers' use of Shopify.
Intellectual Property
All copyrights and intellectual property rights to the programs, algorithms, designs, logos, etc. that make up the App belong to us. Reverse engineering, disassembly, or reproduction of the App is prohibited.
However, data accumulated through the App (order records, Waitlist data, etc.) belongs to you.
Privacy and Data Handling
The collection, use, and management of data in the App is governed by our separate "Privacy Policy".
The App implements GDPR/CCPA-compliant webhooks and automatically responds to customer data deletion requests and shop data erasure requests. We do not use analytics tools or tracking services.
Disclaimer
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "As-Is". We make no warranty whatsoever as to the reliability of the App's operation, uninterrupted service, the absence of bugs or errors, or fitness for a particular purpose.
The timing of selling-phase switching depends on Shopify Webhooks and system load, so we do not guarantee second-level accuracy.
Email notification delivery depends on Resend and the receiving mail server, so we do not guarantee reliable delivery.
We shall not be liable for any damages (whether direct or indirect, including lost profits) incurred by users arising from the following causes (except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence).
- Loss of sales opportunities caused by bugs or service downtime of the App.
- Unintended selling-phase switching due to system errors.
- Failure or delay in email notification delivery.
- Malfunctions arising from Shopify platform outages or API specification changes.
- Loss or corruption of data.
Changes to and Termination of the Service
- We may change the specifications, features, or pricing plan of the App with prior notice to users.
- If we completely discontinue the App, we will notify users with a notice period of at least 30 days.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of Japan. In the event of a dispute regarding the App, the Tokyo District Court shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance.
