Introduction
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Shopify app "AltForge" (the "App") provided by JizaiDev ("we", "us", or "our").
By installing or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from installing or using the App.
Service Scope
The App provides features to generate and manage alt text for product images on your Shopify store using AI. The core features include:
- AI-powered analysis and automated alt text generation for product images.
- Registering generated alt text into product metafields.
- Automatic generation of image sitemaps.
- Submitting sitemaps to Google Search Console.
- Automated alt text generation upon product creation/updates via webhooks.
- Bulk upload and processing via ZIP/CSV files.
Accounts and Authentication

The App integrates with your store via Shopify OAuth. Upon installation, the App acquires necessary access permissions following the authentication flow provided by Shopify.
cloudGoogle Authentication (Optional)
The Google Search Console integration is an optional feature. If you choose to use it, you authorize access to the 'webmasters' scope via Google OAuth. To revoke permissions, visit your Google Account settings.
Pricing and Payment
The App offers several pricing plans, including a free tier. Billing for paid plans is handled entirely through the Shopify App Store's billing system.
User Responsibilities
By using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- You are the legitimate administrator of the Shopify store or have been authorized to use the App.
- You bear the ultimate responsibility for reviewing and finalizing the AI-generated alt text.
- You will not use the App for any unauthorized or illegal purposes (e.g., spam, copyright infringement, etc.).
Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights regarding the source code, design, logos, and documentation related to the App belong to us. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the App beyond the scope explicitly permitted.
You are free to use, edit, and commercially utilize the alt text generated by AI through the App.
Use of Google API Services
The App uses Google API services to offer the Google Search Console integration. This feature requires your explicit consent.
Google API Services User Data Policy
AltForge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Regarding data obtained through the Google API:
- Used exclusively for submitting image sitemaps to Google Search Console and checking site verifications.
- We do not sell or share obtained data with third parties.
- We do not use the data for advertising or marketing.
- You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account settings.

Use of AI Services
The App utilizes external AI services for generating alt text. Please acknowledge the following:
- Product image URLs are sent to external AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to generate alt text.
- Only image URLs are transmitted. No personal data of store owners or buyers is sent.
- AI-generated results serve as reference information and are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "AS IS". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free functionality.
We offer no guarantees, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the AI-generated alt text for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for the following damages arising from your use of the App:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages, or loss of profits.
- Data loss or corruption.
- Damages resulting from inaccurate AI-generated alt text.
- Damages resulting from outages of third-party services (Shopify, Google, AI providers).
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the total amount of subscription fees paid by you for the App during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Modifications and Termination of Service
- We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue any feature of the App.
- If we decide to terminate the App service, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via the App or the Shopify App Store.
Governing Law and Contact Information
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
